Fredrik Holmboe has an educational background in neuroscience and philosophy, sprinkled with quantum physics and computational neuroscience, today called artificial intelligence, and psychology. The goal was first to go into research in neuroplasticity, but, having worked in sales since the age of 17, the natural continuation was the pharmaceutical industry. Fredrik has worked for companies such as Janssen, Biogen, Novartis, and Bayer.

 

Curiosity is a strong driver for Fredrik. Already in 2008/2009, he started to focus on digital marketing and saw the potential for pharmaceutical and life science companies to reach out to their target groups by other means than education, personal meetings, and events. While many other industries have moved forward with their marketing strategies, it is a well-known fact that not much has happened in pharma since the digital race stared more than a decade ago. According to Fredrik, digitalization must be a foundational ingredient in every organization, not just in pharma, and it will be a painful transformation for those companies that have not invested massively in this area. There must be a fundamental change both in internal processes as well as in how companies communicate. But once there, when the digital machinery is in place, the effort will be very rewarding.

 

In life at large, Fredrik wants to make the universe a better place at every turn. One example of this is the goal to help at least two people to reach a stage in life where they would not have been without his guidance and support. Half of this mission is already completed as Fredrik six years ago “adopted” a teenager in Bangladesh who, with time, has become Fredrik’s “extra” little brother.
